McKenzie Christmas Open House, Wreath Competition
The McKenzie Christmas Open House is Friday, November 12 through Sunday, November 14. More details to come at a later date. There will be a wreath competition. Everyone is invited to create a door wreath that shows something about what their individual business is all about. The winner will receive $100. All wreaths must be up by Thursday, November 11. Soup For Life
Beating Hearts Help Center is hosting Soup For Life on November 16, 2021 from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 16835 Highland Drive in McKenzie. It is all you can eat: soup, sandwich, dessert and drink for only $25. Jim Keeling of Earthen Vessels Pottery and Gifts in Martin will perform pottery demonstrations. Huntingdon Elks Lodge Veterans’ Dinner
The Huntingdon Elks Lodge #2152, 150 Elks Lodge Road, Huntingdon, hosts its annual Veterans Day Dinner Sunday, November 14 at 2 p.m. All veterans and their guest are welcome. For more information, contact the Lodge at 731-986-5641 or Mitzi Marshall 937-459-2925.
 
The Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen
This month’s meal at The Shepherd’s Table will be a fresh and hot traditional Thanksgiving meal of turkey and dressing with all the fixings with delicious desserts.
The Shepherd’s Table, the community kitchen located in Huntingdon, Tenn. serves meals twice monthly. On each third Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church located at 19835 E. Main Street and on each fourth Tuesday at First United Methodist Church located at 201 Asbury Circle. Meals are served drive through 5 to 7 p.m. The Shepherds Table is open to the public and there is no cost.
The meals are prepared by volunteer staff hosted by different congregations in our town and donated by local businesses. Our town’s community kitchen was created by a group of volunteers that saw the need in the Carroll County community. Food scarcity is real and the Shepherd’s Table’s success is dependent on the support of volunteers and donations. They are scheduling the 2022 calendar. Davis Chapel to Host Revival
Revival services at Davis Chapel United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 7 to Wednesday, November 10. Sunday services are 6 p.m. with singing by Witness of McKenzie. Services nightly are 7 p.m. with Jackie Fincher of Archer’s Chapel of Frog Jump is the speaker. Davis Chapel is located at 8070 Highway 22 south of Huntingdon.
 
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street The Musical
“Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street The Musical” is coming to the Bethel Performing Arts Center. The Renaissance Theatre program will shine as they keep audiences on the edge of their seats with this musical thriller. The performances continue through the first two weekends in November at 7 p.m. with a matinee showing on November 13 at 2 p.m.
 
Enon Baptist Harvest Day
Enon Baptist Church is hosting its annual Harvest Day services on Sunday, November 14. Everyone is invited. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. Bro. Malcolm Norton will be preaching at 11 a.m. There will be a noon add-a-dish fellowship meal. The Owen Family will sing at 1:30 p.m. Come join us for a blessing!
 
Huntingdon American Legion is hosting a Veterans Night
American Legion Post 47 is hosting a Veterans Night, Tuesday, November 9 at the Carroll County Civic Center. Colonel Jim Harding is the speaker. Admission is $6.
 
McKenzie City Council Meets Monthly
The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. 
 
McKenzie Condemnation Meetings Monthly
City of McKenzie Condemnation Meetings are the fourth Monday of each month at 3 p.m. in the city hall council chambers.
 
TOPS Meets on Mondays
The McKenzie Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) Chapter meets Mondays at McKenzie Church of Christ gymnasium. Weigh-in is 3 p.m. and the meeting is 3:30 p.m.
Anyone struggling with their weight can join. Visitors are welcome. The first meeting is free and membership is $32 per year plus nominal chapter fees.

Christmas with Renaissance
Christmas with Renaissance performances are December 3 at 7 p.m., December 4 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and December 5 at 2 p.m. All performances will be in the Dickey Fine Arts Building at Bethel University.
 
County Democratic Committee, Women Meet Monthly
Carroll County Democratic Women Committee meets each third Tuesday at 6 p.m. Meetings are held at the Carroll County Office Complex on High Street in Huntingdon. Everyone is welcome to attend.
