County Budget Committee to Meet
Carroll County Budget Committee meets the third Thursday of every month starting at 10 a.m. in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex. The Committee meets Thursday, May 26, 10 a.m. in a delayed session.
 
McKenzie Farmers Market Reopens June 4
McKenzie Farmers Market Reopens Saturday, June 4, 8 a.m., 2431 Cedar Street, in downtown McKenzie. The former Studebaker dealership was converted to an indoor/outdoor farmers market and allows area citizens to sell their homemade and homegrown foods and other products. 
It is open every Saturday morning through October. Also visit on Tuesday afternoons, 2-6 p.m. Watch for special children’s activities sponsored by the Carroll County 4-H and Agriculture Extension Service. 
Admission is free. The facility is sponsored by the City of McKenzie. For vendor information, phone City Hall at 731-352-2292.
 
MHS Class of 1972 Plans 50 Year Reunion
The McKenzie High School Class of 1972 is planning its 50-year reunion on Saturday, June 4 and invites all classmates and their guests to attend. It will be held at Chandler’s Barn/Pavilion, located at 700 Hill Road, McKenzie, which is off Rochelle Road behind the Carroll County Airport. Signs will be posted at the turn off.
A meet and greet begins at 5 p.m., followed by a catered dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. Classmates are encouraged to bring any old photos of childhood gatherings or school days to help rekindle fond times.
A special segment of the program will honor deceased classmates. The committee encourages all 1972 classmates to attend.
The reunion committee asks all classmates and guests to send in a $25 registration fee to cover expenses of the reunion meal and event. Please send checks in by May 28 to Steve Williams, 318 Diamond Drive, McKenzie, TN 38201.

McKenzie City Council Meets Monthly
The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. 
 
Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.
 
Huntingdon School Board Meets Tuesday
Huntingdon Board of Education meets Tuesday, May 24, 6 p.m. at the Central Office, 585 High Street, Huntingdon. The public is invited to attend.
 
Trezevant to Meet on Water, Sewer Rates
The Town of Trezevant is holding a public hearing on the proposal to raise water and sewer rates on Tuesday, May 24, 6:15 p.m. at the Community Center. A Board Meeting follows at 6:30 for the first reading of the water and sewer rates.
 
Fund-raiser for Janet Barton
A spaghetti plate dinner, including salad, roll, dessert and drink is $10 at (McKenzie) Downtown Diner, Saturday, June 11, 4 to 7 p.m.
Live music will be presented by the Ricky Fuzzell Band.
