Carroll County Budget Committee to Meet
Carroll County Budget Committee meeting meets the third Thursday of every month starting at 10 a.m. in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex. 
 
McKenzie Farmers Market Reopens Saturday, June 4
McKenzie Farmers Market Reopens Saturday, June 4, 8 a.m., 2431 Cedar Street, in downtown McKenzie. The former Studebaker dealership was converted to an indoor/outdoor farmers market and allows area citizens to sell their homemade and homegrown foods and other products. 
It is open every Saturday morning through October. Also visit on Tuesday afternoons, 2-6 p.m. Watch for special children’s activities sponsored by the Carroll County 4-H and Agriculture Extension Service. 
Admission is free. The facility is sponsored by the City of McKenzie. For vendor information, phone City Hall at 731-352-2292.
 
McKenzie City Council Meets Monthly
The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. 
 
Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.
 
Fund-raiser for Janet Barton
A spaghetti plate dinner, including salad, roll, dessert and drink is $10 at (McKenzie) Downtown Diner, Saturday, June 11, 4 to 7 p.m.
Live music will be presented by the Ricky Fuzzell Band.
 
First CP Vacation Bible School
On Wednesday, July 6 through Friday, July 8, McKenzie First Cumberland Presbyterian Church is having Vacation Bible School, “Monumental - Celebrating God’s Greatness” - for children ages 3 to those who have just finished 5th grade. Hours are 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Supper will be provided. Come celebrate Christian fellowship, fun and the joy of God’s Word!
 
Greenfield First Baptist Vacation Bible School
Greenfield First Baptist Church Community-Wide VBS Block Party is Saturday, June 25, 5 p.m. to 7:30p.m.There will be free food, jumpers, games, face painting, grand prizes, and more for all ages! The church is located at 3127 N. Meridian Street in Greenfield.
Greenfield First Baptist Church Vacation Bible School is Sunday, June 26 – Wednesday, June 29, 6 to 8:30 each night. There will be bible lessons, music, games, crafts, missions, and food for all ages as well as an Adult Bible Study! McKenzie School Board Budget Workshop
McKenzie School Board meets Tuesday, June 7, 5:30 p.m. at the Board of Education office, 114 Bell Street. The purpose of the meeting is a workshop on the 2022-23 budget. The public is invited to attend.
 
McKenzie  Re-Birth Committee Event
The McKenzie Community Rebirth Committee is hold an event in downtown McKenzie on June 24 and 25. 
On Friday, June 24, 4 to 8 p.m., there will be karaoke, open mic, and a scavenger hunt. On Saturday, June 25, noon to 4 p.m., is music and games through the downtown square. Food trucks will be on location.
 
Carroll County Election Commission Meets June 14
The Carroll County Election Commission meets June 14, 2022 at 6 p.m., in the Election Office at 625 High St, Suite 113, Huntingdon. The meeting is to prepare for the August election.
 
Dr. Tony Janner Memorial Golf Tournament

Annual Par Three Golf Tournament
The MHS Rebel Golf Team’s Annual Par Three Golf Tournament is Saturday, June 18 at 4 p.m. at the Carroll Lake Golf Course. Admission is $105 per team, $35 per person. Registration begins at 3 p.m. There will be prizes, food, and fun.

The Huntingdon Board of Education is holding a finance workshop on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 10 a.m. The meeting is at the Huntingdon Central Office located at 585 High St, Huntingdon.

The Carroll County Emergency Communications budget committee meets June 14, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. The meeting is at 210 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon. 
 
Mount Zion to Celebrate 175 Years 
Mt. Zion United Methodist church at 120 Mt. Zion Road, Huntingdon is celebrating 175 years of Christian service on Sunday, June 12. There will be a meet and greet time from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. and Worship Service begins at 10 a.m. District Superintendent Dan Camp is delivering the message. After a church luncheon, an afternoon of gospel music begins at 1 p.m. with the award-winning group High Road from Nashville. Local talent including Tim and Natalie Jordan, the Churchwell Family and others will perform during the special afternoon singing. Everyone is invited to attend this special day of celebrating Mt. Zion’s 175 years of service to the people of Huntingdon and Carroll County as the church praises God for His goodness and mercy.
 
Carroll County Human Society is Selling Georgia Peaches
The Carroll County Humane Society is taking orders for fresh Georgia peaches until June 20. Orders will arrive early July. A 11-13 box is $30 to be paid at the time of the order. Call 731-352-9950 and leave a message.
