Derek Carr Inducted in UTM Hall of Fame

MARTIN (October 9) — Saturday evening, McKenzie Rebel alumnus Derek Carr was inducted in the 2021 Athletic Hall of Fame Class at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Carr was the starting quarterback for the Rebels in 2006 and 2007 and helped lead the Rebels to the State Championship Game in 2007. During his two years as starter, Carr threw for 4572 yards and 45 touchdowns.

At UTM, Carr set a single-game record for pass efficiency in 2012. He holds UTM single season records for pass completions, passing yards, and touchdowns. Carr ranks in the top 5 in Ohio Valley Conference history in pass completions, touchdowns, yards, and total offense.

Carr is an assistant coach and teacher at Milan.
