McKenzie Chamber Of Commerce, Industry Hosts Upcoming Events

The McKenzie Chamber of Commerce and Industry is hosting the Second Annual Chamber Easter Egg Drop on Saturday, April 1, from 9-11:30 a.m. Event sponsors are Cachengo, Haven Steel, McKenzie Banking Company, Allegion/Republic Doors and the McKenzie Industrial Board.

A helicopter starts the event at 9 a.m. dropping 50,000 eggs above the McKenzie City Park, 570 Como Street, McKenzie. The 0-2 years hunt starts at 9:30 a.m.; ages 3-4 egg hunt at 10 a.m.; ages 5-7 egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. and ages 8-10 egg hunt at 11 a.m. There is a grand prize per hunt of $25 Park Theater gift certificate, $25 Hometown Hangout gift certificate and a chocolate bunny. Other activities include balloon twisting, face painting, food trucks, jumpy houses, the Easter Bunny and picture props. Volunteers are needed to spread the eggs and prizes on the fields, to wear the Easter Bunny suit and to help with crowd control. Candy donations are also needed. A Chamber Coffee hosted by Mayor Ryan Griffin is scheduled Tuesday, April 11, at McKenzie City Hall from 8-9 a.m.

A Chamber Coffee hosted by the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) is scheduled Wednesday, June 14, from 8-9 a.m.

The Chamber Banquet is scheduled Tuesday, June 20, at The Venue at Waddell Place, 6-8 p.m. More information coming soon.
