Contest Announced to Design Carroll County Seal

Posted

In honor of Carroll County’s Bicentennial, the Bicentennial Committee announced an opportunity for individuals to develop a new county seal for Carroll County. The seal will represent the county and be used for generations to come.

The design and imagery of the seal is up to the designer and it should be a representation of how the designer and others think of Carroll County. It should also represent the county’s rich history.

The seal will vary in size, so it needs to be able to be affixed on walls, documents and proclamations. The seal should be easy to read, and it does not need to be round.

Entries are to be submitted by February 28 for eligibility. Entries can be submitted via dropping it off at the County Mayor’s office at 625 High Street, Suite 101, or at the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce at 20740 East Main Street. Both are in Huntingdon. Entries can also be mailed to the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce to PO Box 726, in Huntingdon, Tenn. 38344.

The winning seal design is announced in April. The winner receives a prize of $100. The winning designer will work with the Bicentennial Committee and a professional team to finalize and package the new county seal for use by Carroll County.
