COVID-19 Increases In State

NASHVILLE (April 27) — According to the Tennessee Department of Health, the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee increased over the week. Presently, there are 9,918 positive cases (up from 9,667 one day earlier) and a total of 184 deaths (up from 181 one day earlier). The numbers represent the total number of positive cases during the 2020 pandemic. A total of 837 patients were hospitalized and 4,720 have totally recovered.
In Carroll County, there has been one death, 11 recovered and 16 positive cases. A total of 396 were diagnosed as negative.
In Henry County, seven have recovered of 11 positive cases and 482 tested negative.

In Weakley County, eight have recovered of 18 positive cases and 425 tested negative. Weakley County had an increase of 10 positive cases in a single week.
The good news is there are no reported positive cases at any of the nursing homes in Carroll County.
In the United States, a total of 957,875 positive cases were reported in 2020 with 53,922 deaths , according to Centers for Disease Control.
