Earl Livingston Wade, II

Earl Livingston Wade, II of Huntingdon, Tenn. was born on  September 24, 1940 in Memphis, Tennessee to the union of Earl Wade, Sr.and Beulah McClerkin Wade.  During his formative years, he attended St Augustine Catholic School in Memphis,Tennessee.

It was in Huntingdon, Tenn., where he completed his High School requirements when he graduated from Webb Public High School in 1960 in McKenzie, Tenn. He attended and graduated from Lane College, Trinity College of the Bible Theological Seminary, and American Baptist College Theological Seminary obtaining his BS,MS, CCT/DT Degrees, Candidate for Doctorate Degree.  While living in Detroit, Michigan in 1967, after serving in the First  US Army Medical Lab   during the Vietnam Conflict,  Earl met and married Dora Cooper.

After relocating to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1973, he retired from Fischer & Porter Company in 1990 and returned to Huntingdon, where he was employed by the Tenn. Dept of Human Service, where he served 17 years and retired.  In addition to his state employment, he was appointed director of American Baptist Theological Seminary, Jackson Extension Center where he served for 18 years before retiring from both in 2011 and 2014 respectively.

Concurrent with both of these obligations he became of member of St Paul MB Church in Huntingdon, Tenn., serving as associate pastor and the churches' Fiscal/Financial Officer and serving as the Adult Sunday School instructor. He chose as a foundational base for his service,

"Lord, give me the loving heart to see the people's need and to feel their hurts, and the strength to serve them"

He had few hobbies but his interests included viewing movies, driving sports cars and Bible study and designing computer based study guides and lectures to assists in teaching the Word!!

Earl Wade, 81, made his transition from life to death on August 27, 2022.

Earl's parents, Earl, Sr, and Beulah Wade: three brothers, William, Clarence and Hubert Wade, one nephew, Samuel Carlton Wade, Jr, one niece, Toi'Son Wade preceded him in death.   He leaves to truly cherish his life’s loving memories; three children:  Shari (Kevin) Stephens of Rochester, Mich.;  Edwin Dudley of McKenzie, Tenn.;  Nathan Wade of Lansdale, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Allen Gulley, Jr. (Chiamaka) of  Las Vegas,Nevada; Jessica Morton of  Davison, Michigan,  Poppy Renee and Kevin Sebastian Stephens II of Rochester, Michigan:  three great-grandchildren, Kai Anthony and Naima Shari Morton; and Isaac Allen Gulley;  siblings, Mary Ann, and James Wade of Southfield, MI; Samuel Wade of Oak Park, Michigan, Aaron Wade of Memphis, Tenn., nieces;  April Acosta, Aisha, Azrah of Memphis, Tenn., Tasha, Makesha, Tonya, Nicole (Kevin) Bell of Detroit. Michigan; nephews; Davern Neal, of Detroit, Manya Aaron Wade of Memphis.  Special cousin, Virginia Hodges of Tupelo, Miss., as well as many other nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.

Memorial services are 11  a.m. Saturday September 3, 2022 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Saturday, 10:30 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m.
