Former Assistant District Attorney Receives Four-Year Jail Sentence

HUNTINGDON (August 2) — Former Assistant District Attorney for the 24th District Thomas Tansil Jr. received jail sentences on three counts of a criminal indictment, which Tansil had entered a plea of nolo contrendre - a plea by which a defendant in a criminal prosecution accepts conviction as though a guilty plea had been entered but does not admit guilt.
