HUNTINGDON (December 1-2) — The following cases were heard on December 1 and 2 in Carroll County General Sessions Court.

The following cases were bound over to the Carroll County Circuit Court.
Michael W. Smith, Highway 105, Trezevant, bound over on evading arrest flight-vehicle; dismissed, DUI, leaving the scene of an accident.

Colby Garrett Swafford, Hamilton Street, McKenzie, bound over on possession firearm with intent to go armed - dangerous felony, schedule VI drugs, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia.

Cases that resulted in a guilty plea or finding.

Robert D. Bennett, West Main Street, Huntingdon, guilty, probation violation, 30 days jail.

Edward Michael Birdwell, Fowler Circle, Hollow Rock, guilty, assault-bodily injury, 11/29 suspended sentence, 11/29 probation.

Michael Brotherton, Westport Road, Huntingdon, guilty, assault-physical contact, 10 days to serve.

Ashley Cannon, 3rd Avenue, Huntingdon, guilty, vandalism, 11/29 supervised probation, must attend mental health counseling; dismissed, public intoxication, domestic assault, violation of protective assault.

Melinda Ann Dillahunty, Walnut Avenue, McKenzie, guilty, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, six months unsupervised probation, restitution of $1,000 to victim; dismissed, violation of financial responsibility.

Megan Eckenrode, Highway 70, Huntingdon, guilty, theft of merchandise, sentenced to 11 months, 29 days, all suspended, restitution of $679.34 to retail store; dismissed, failure to appear, burglary.

Joshua Lynn Haynes, Barksdale Avenue, McKenzie, guilty, failure to appear, 11 months and 29 days jail, to serve 30 days, 10/29 unsupervised probation; dismissed, driving while suspended, violation of financial responsibility.

KC Lee Reed, Magnolia Dr., Gleason, guilty, probation violation, 10 days in jail; dismissed, failure to appear.

April Vestal, Big Buck Road, Trezevant, guilty, Schedule VI drugs, manufacture, deliver, sell or possession, 90 days intensive outpatient treatment, 11/29 supervised probation, 11/29 suspended sentence; dismissed, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia.

The following cases were dismissed:

Penny Allen, Speedway, Bruceton, dismissed, aggravated assault, victim was not found to testify.

Charity Lea Bratton, White Street, McKenzie, DUI.

Ronnie G. Layhem, II, High Street, Huntingdon, DUI-fourth offense, lab results not yet available. Trooper is to refile charges for DUI, registration expired, seat belt violation, driving while revoked.

Amanda McKinney, Old State Route 22, Gleason, dismissed, failure to appear.

Tyler James Neely, Greer Ct., Charlotte, Tennessee, dismissed, DUI - first offense, 30 hours community service, attend DUI school; dismissed, violation of financial responsibility, driver failed to exercise due care.

Sarah M. Rumley, Highway 77, dismissed, failure to appear.

Brenda L. Williams, dismissed, DUI-first offense, lab results not available, trooper to refile charges of DUI and violation of registration plates.

Michael Webb, Woodrow Avenue, McKenzie, dismissed, simple possession.

The following cases were adjudicated through pre-trial diversion.

Desiree Freidam, Highway 104, Cedar Grove, pre-trial diversion on charge of harassment, 11/29 unsupervised probation, no contact with Atwood or McKenzie post offices, no contact with victims, mental health treatment required.

Debora Snead, Eli Brown Road, McKenzie, pre-trial diversion, disorderly conduct, no violent contact with victim.
