NASHVILLE (July 30) — Tennessee Governor Bill Lee issued an executive order Friday extending the limited state of emergency another month.

The order, which expires on August 31, allows for the Tennessee National Guard to continue to assist in public health and vaccination efforts as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

For months, guardsmen have assisted in facilitating COVID-19 testing and vaccinations at health departments and other public health facilities across the state.
