Underage Consumption — Stephanie Campbell, 18 (address not provided), Cody Jones (age and address not provided), and James Peden (age and address not provided) were all charged with underage consumption of alcohol, and Peden was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, all during an Oct. 31 traffic stop in Huntingdon.

Officer Labe Ezell reported that he pulled over a gray 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Campbell with Jones and Peden as passengers after observing Campbell drinking from a bottle he suspected of being an alcoholic beverage. A K-9 unit was called to the scene after Campbell denied permission to search the vehicle, and the dog indicated the presence of narcotics. When asked if they had any weapons, Jones produced a loaded nine-millimeter Glock pistol and Peden produced a loaded Ruger .38 Special handgun. While searching the vehicle, officers found a marijuana pipe with residue, a half-empty beer can, and a spilled bottle of Mike’s Hard Lemonade. Peden said the pipe belonged to him.

Drug Possession — Kelly Depriest, 55, (address not provided) was charged with possession of schedule II and drug paraphernalia during a Nov. 8 traffic stop in Huntingdon.

Officer Labe Ezell reported that he pulled over a gold 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Depriest, and officers searched the vehicle after a K-9 dog indicated the presence of narcotics. During that search, officers found a used syringe and a glass pipe containing methamphetamine. Two morphine pills and one Oxycodone pill, all without prescription, were found on Depriest’s person.

License Violation — Joshua Allen Lawton, 47, of Lexington was cited with driving on a revoked license (second offense) during a Nov. 7 traffic stop in Huntingdon.

Officer Brad Allen reported that he pulled over a vehicle driven by Lawton on East Main Street because he had prior knowledge that Lawton’s license was revoked. A computer check confirmed Lawton’s revoked status.

Felony Evading — Jevon A. Brown, 25, of Jackson was charged with felony evading, driving while suspended (sixth offense), and speeding following a Nov. 12 police pursuit in Huntingdon.

Officer Christopher Cole reported that he attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by Brown after clocking the vehicle at 70 mph in a 55 mph zone on Highway 22 North. The vehicle sped up when Cole activated his lights and siren, and Cole pursued the vehicle along Paris Street and onto Ashbury Circle, where the pursuit ended. A computer check showed that Brown’s license was revoked with five prior convictions.

Warrant, Drug Possession — Robert Bennett, 56, of Huntingdon was arrested on an active warrant and for drug possession on Nov. 21.

According to the report by Officer Ethan Parham, officers went to an address on West Main Street to serve a warrant against Bennett for violation of probation. Officers found an unlabeled pill bottle containing three Xanax pills and two Tramadol pills in Bennett’s left front pants pocket.

Firearm Violation, Public Intoxication — James P. Forrest, 37, of Huntingdon was charged with possession of a firearm while under the influence and public intoxication on Nov. 21.

According to the report by Officer James Kelley, he made contact with Forrest by phone after Forrest made social media posts threatening to shoot himself if police came to the residence. After Kelley negotiated with Forrest by phone for around 40 minutes, Kelley agreed to give up the firearm if Kelley came alone to his apartment. Kelley walked to the apartment, and Forrest came outside with a 30-06 rifle and unloaded it. Kelley noted that Forrest was in an intoxicated state. Forrest was transported to Carroll County Jail to sober up and then undergo a mental evaluation.
