Drugs — Alex G. Walden (age not provided) of Paris was arrested during a Dec. 2 traffic stop in Huntingdon.

According to the police report, an officer pulled over a vehicle driven by Walden on Highway 22 North after observing the vehicle weaving and running off the left side of the road at one point. After getting Walden’s permission to search the vehicle, the officer conducted a search and found three baggies containing a substance the field-tested positive for methamphetamine, two Naloxone pills, one Suboxone pill, one Suboxone strip and a piece of another, a set of digital scales, and a meth pipe.

Theft of Property — Bradley J. Hollowell (age not provided) of Memphis was charged with theft of property under $10,000 on Dec. 8 for allegedly stealing a utility trailer.

According to the report by Sgt. Brad Allen, he went to a Murray Lane address regarding a stolen trailer and spoke with Jacob Smothers and Hollowell. Smothers said that the trailer belonged to him and had been stolen on Dec. 6 from property on Old Stage Road. Hollowell said he bought the trailer for $500. Smothers presented photos of the truck used to take the trailer, which matched a truck in the driveway belonging to Hollowell.

Theft, Drugs — Rothes L. Taylor (age not provided) of Jackson was charged with theft of merchandise under $1,000 and simple possession/casual exchange on Dec. 8 at Walmart in Huntingdon.

According to the report by Officer Ethan Parham, he arrested Taylor for two previous thefts at Walmart on Sept. 8 and Oct. 14, at which times Taylor was caught on camera stealing two hover boards and two car stereos totaling $820 altogether. While Parham was searching Taylor, a small bag containing less than a gram of crack cocaine fell out of Taylor’s shoe.
