License Violation — Gerald T. Stevens (age and address not provided) was charged with driving on a revoked license during a March 9 traffic stop in Huntingdon.

Officer Joseph Hedge reported that he pulled over a vehicle driven by Stevens on Lexington Street because he had prior knowledge that Stevens’ license was revoked. A computer check revealed the revoked status with seven prior convictions. Stevens was transported to Carroll County Jail.

Accident, License Violation — Bert W. Hurlburt, 66, of Huntingdon was cited for driving on a suspended license following a March 24 traffic accident in Huntingdon.

According to the report by Officer Labe Ezell, Hurlburt was traveling east on East Main Street when his vehicle struck another vehicle from behind. A computer check showed that Hurlburt’s license is for identification only with eligibility for reinstatement.

Shoplifting — Kenneth Ray Beckham, 35, of Huntingdon was charged with theft of merchandise under $1,000 on March 30.

According to the report by Officer Zachery Barker, he responded to a call about a shoplifter at Walmart. Upon arrival, Barker found that Beckham was being detained in the store security office. Beckham removed stolen items from the front of his pants and returned them to store security personnel. The items totaled $59.85, but no restitution is due to Walmart.
