Schedule VI Drug Violations — Shannon Office, 35, of Jackson, was arrested on April 27 for unlawful drug paraphernalia use and lights required on motor vehicles. Officer Roberts observed Shannon’s car driving on Main Street when he noticed the driver’s side headlight was out and initiated the traffic stop. Officer Roberts could smell marijuana when he contacted the driver. Roberts asked the driver and passengers to step out of the vehicle and he found several unidentified pills, small amounts of marijuana, and a scale inside of a purse in the backseat. Then inside of the trunk of the vehicle was 66 grams of marijuana. The driver said it was not hers but took responsibility for everything in the car.

Theft of Property-Felony — Jonathan Womack, 34, of Bradford, was witnessed on a surveillance camera approaching a register at Hucks and stealing a phone off the counter that was left behind by a previous customer. The phone’s value is $1,099.99. Womack was arrested on May 2 for Theft over $1,000.

Schedule II Methamphetamine, Failure to Maintain Lane — Bradley Hollowell, 45, of Huntingdon, was arrested on May 6 by Officer Roberts. Officer Roberts observed Hollowell’s vehicle traveling North on Hwy 22 when he saw the driver swerve and nearly drive off the road. Officer Roberts approached the vehicle and Hollowell was sweating profusely and appeared to be nervous. The defendant claimed that there was nothing illegal in the truck. Deputy Townes’ K9 had a positive hit on the vehicle. Located on the passenger seat inside of a tool bag was a pill bottle wrapped in black tape, with five individually wrapped bags of methamphetamine weighing 2.84 grams. The defendant was taken to Carroll County Jail.

Domestic Assault (Simple) — Thomas Mitchell, 58, of Huntingdon, was arrested on May 2 for Domestic Assault. Officer Roberts responded to a call in regard to domestic violence. When he arrived, the victim said the defendant shoved her to the floor and hit her in the forehead when she was attempting to call the police. The defendant verified he did shove the victim. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.
