Fugitive Apprehended — John Quinton Hutcherson, 31, of Paducah, Kentucky was arrested on an outstanding warrant on June 12 in Huntingdon.

According to the report by Officer James Kelley, officers responded to a call about an unknown person at a residence on Veterans Drive and found Hutcherson asleep on a mattress in one of the bedrooms. A computer check showed that Hutcherson had an active arrest warrant for parole violation out of Kentucky. Hutcherson was transported to the Carroll County Jail to be held without bond until extradition at the request of Kentucky authorities.

Theft, Forgery —Kelsey McKee Schenk, 25, of Huntingdon was recently charged with theft of property under $1,000 and attempted forgery up to $1,000.

Officer Angela Barker reported that on June 14 she responded to a call about a woman trying to pass a stolen check at Pockets Convenience Store and then fleeing the scene when the clerk refused to accept the check. Officers were able to identify Schenk by reviewing video footage from the store, and she was located and arrested the next morning. The owner of the check told officers she did not know how Schenk obtained the check.

Officer Labe Ezell reported that he pulled over a vehicle driven by Richmeier after receiving a call about a reckless driver and then observing Richmeier driving erratically in front of Walmart. Ezell noted that while Richmeier appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicant, he performed well enough on field sobriety tests not to be charged with DUI. Richmeier was found to be in possession of four Xanax bars, a small amount of marijuana, and a glass marijuana pipe.
