The Huntingdon School Board approved a change in the bid to replace the roof on Huntingdon High School during their meeting on October 21. They voted to rescind the old bid approved in August and accept the new bid from another company after a brief presentation by Jim Atkins who represents Lashlee-Rich contractors. The old company couldn’t guarantee their price after a certain date which precipitated the change. The new construction company guaranteed a maximum price of $609,000 which is a $10,000 increase over the old price. The project entails removing the top layers of the roof down to the insulation and adding a new layer of insulation on top of the old insulation and a top membrane.
