Posted

Jackie Lynn Beeler, 74, was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on December 23, 1947 to Marvin Manly and Mary Elizabeth Beeler. He departed this life on September 21, 2022 in Knoxville, Tenn. Jackie was raised in Tiptonville, Tenn. He attended Dyersburg High School and Lake County High School graduating in 1968.

In his earlier years, Jackie always seemed to find exciting jobs to work. As a teenager, he would go searching for snakes and sell them to the local zoo. He worked at Sylvania Corp in lacquer dip, where he spent his days dipping square flashbulbs in lacquer and came home with his jeans stiff as lacquer.

He enjoyed working with his best friend at Edgewater Beach Resort, where they worked as lifeguards, concessions, and many other jobs around the grounds.

He also worked at Reelfoot Lake State Park and worked on a river boat for several years. Jackie later had a successful career as a salesman, spending most of that time in the Heating and Air industry. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and never met a stranger, which served him well in his career. In addition, Jackie was known for his witty sense of humor; he had a joke to tell in any situation and every conversation.

Jackie always enjoyed hunting, but hunting was how he spent most of his free time once his children grew up. He enjoyed combining his love of hunting and traveling by traveling to different states and countries for hunting trips. He loved spending time out in the woods but especially enjoyed spending this time in the woods with his son, grandkids, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jerri Mac Beeler, and his beloved granddaughter, Cate Beeler. He is survived by his children, Tim (Ashley) Beeler of McKenzie, Tennessee; Jaclyn (Katherine) Beeler of Knoxville, Tennessee; and Sara Beeler of Smyrna, Tenn. He is also survived by seven remarkable grandchildren, Drew, Miles, Carli, Sirah, McKenzie, Bentley, and Brooks.

A memorial graveside service celebrating his life will be held on October 1st at 11 a.m. in McKenzie, Tennessee at Mt Olivet Cemetery, 9408 Cherrywood Ave.
