 McKENZIE, Tenn. - Funeral services for James Gordon Coleman are Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 9, 2021, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Friday, 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mr. Coleman, 90, died Wednesday at The Waters (Oak Manor) in McKenzie. He is a member of McKenzie Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a retired funeral director at Brummitt Funeral Home, Inc.

He was born in the 19th District Carroll Co. on May 23, 1931 to Jamie and Mattie Barker Coleman.

He is survived by his children, Melissa (Eddy) Chandler and Ricky Joe (Kay Anderson) Coleman, all of McKenzie, a sister, Willodean Carter of Huntingdon, three grandchildren, Jeff Chandler, Christi (Matt) Abbott and Tanner ( Melonie) Coleman and four great-grandchildren, Cale, Ava, Corren and Brandon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Olean B. Coleman, son, Kenneth Coleman, two sisters, Elizabeth Kelly and Iris Traywick and three brothers, Horace Ray Coleman, Jerry Coleman and Billy Coleman.

Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge.
