McKENZIE, Tenn. -  Funeral services for Keitha Chism are Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 11 a.m. – until service time. Interment is a Mt. Olivet Cemetery and Brother John Forgy will officiate.

Mrs. Chism, 79, died at her residence, on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.

She was born on November 1, 1941 in Camden, to William Leslie and Irene Whitfield Hatley. She received her B.S. degree at Bethel College in 1963. She is a member of McKenzie Church of Christ and retired from McKenzie Special School District after 35 years of teaching.

She is survived by her son, Randy Chism of Union City, a sister, Gladys McCormick of Memphis and two granddaughters, whom she loved dearly, Ashlyn Chism of Charleston, South Carolina and Caroline Chism of Union City.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years Dewey Chism and a son, Ricky Chism.
