Lady War Eagles Edge Lady Tigers

ATWOOD (April 6) — The West Carroll Lady War Eagles hosted Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tuesday for a district softball contest and won, 4-2.
West Carroll struck first with a run in each of the second and fourth frames. The Lady Tigers tied it up with a pair in the top of the fifth, but the Lady War Eagles regained the lead with a pair in the home half.
Lady War Eagle Janzen Winberry went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base. Alyssa Butler was 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Skylar Jones went 0-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.

Lady Tiger Nevaeh Davis went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Mykenzie Burton was 2-for-3 with a run scored. Olivia Newberry went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.
Kaylee Butler earned the win for West Carroll, allowing two earned runs on three hits while striking out three and walking one in five innings. Autumn Houston threw the final two frames, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out one and walking one.
Carlee Hicks took the complete-game loss for Central, allowing four unearned runs on three hits while striking out six and walking one.
