Man Rescued After Being Pinned Under Tree

Henry Volunteer Fire Department and McKenzie Fire/Rescue was dispatched to a report of a tree that had fallen on the leg of an 80-year-old male at the 25000 block of Hwy 22 on October 4.

Henry Engine 2 responded to the scene with six firefighters and found one patient with his leg pinned under a tree.

McKenzie and Henry firefighters used inflatable airbags to lift the log allowing the patient to be removed and loaded into an ambulance. The patient was transferred to the Carroll County EMS Station in McKenzie, and loaded into a medical helicopter. McKenzie Engine 3 did the standby for the helicopter landing.

On the scene were EMS, McKenzie Police Department, Henry Police Department, and Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
