McKENZIE (July 23) — The McKenzie High School Marching Rebels wrapped up their annual two-week camp Friday with a performance for family and supporters in the MHS Theatre. Director Keith Breeden told The Banner the band is “so glad to be back to a (hopefully) regular competitive fall marching season.” He said, “This is one of the strongest camps we have had. The kids’ focus and work ethic are unbelievable.” Camp staff included Bryan Finley, Christian Nunnery, Nina Phifer, Kyla Steele, John Warren, Tremayne Johnson, Zack Roy, Andrew Goodrum, Michael Carter, Dylan Cary and Kim Essary. The title of this year’s show is “Shipwrecked.”
