MERIDIAN IDAHO — Mary Louise Stoner Dixon, 69, died after a long illness at St. Lukes in Boise, Idaho. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and received her last rights. She was surrounded by her husband, John Dixon, her son and daughter-in-law, James and Angela Dixon, and her sister, Diane Stoner Stafford.
Her cremations will be scattered privately at a later date. No services will be held per Mary’s request.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lonnie J. Stoner, Sr and Doris Redmond Stoner. and her brother, Lonnie Stoner, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, John, her son and daughter-in-law, James and Angela Dixon, her son, Phillip Dixon, her sister, Diane, and brothers, William “Bill” and wife, Margaret Stoner, and Paul Stoner, her sister-in-law, Melissa Kish Stoner, and several nieces and nephews as well as many loving friends.
In Mary’s younger years, she loved horses and spent many hours riding. In her later years, she and her husband enjoyed bird hunting.
Mary was an avid gardener and canned her fruits and vegetables, often sharing with others. She had a deep love for Irish setters, which she owned, show and cared for several over the years. At one point, Mary and her mother ran a restaurant and Mary enjoyed cooking and baking. Her pies were loved by all her friends and family members.
