McKENZIE — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, which owns and operates Carroll Lake, has provided some insight into concerns about the fish population following the extreme weather earlier this month and the preemptive drainage of the lake ahead of the flooding conditions.

Super Drugs sustained minor damage on Thursday, April 10 during a brief severe weather event when the awning detached from its supports and was impaled on a fire hydrant, barricading the entrance to the building and partially protruding into the traffic flow on Cedar Street.

NASHVILLE (April 10) — State Rep. Tandy Darby, R-Greenfield, announced on Thursday rescue squads in Carroll, Weakley and Henry counties have been selected for the Rescue Squad Grant Program, receiving a total of $160,244.50 for life-saving equipment.

McKENZIE (April 10) — Concerns over the continued flooding and sewer issues along South Main Street were addressed during the April meeting of the McKenzie City Council. Block City owner Matt Lane questioned the board for an update on future plans to ease the flooding low point in front of his business.

BRADFORD (April 11) — The McKenzie High School Rebels got the long ball working in a big road win Friday, 10-5, over the Bradford Red Devils. Five home runs, including two by Craegen Travis, highlighted two big innings that sealed the win for McKenzie.
