Haney, the assistant director of Humboldt High School Band, marched as a part of the Gibson County Mass Band representing Tennessee. The 133rd parade in Rose Bowl history began at 10 a.m., and the Gibson County Mass Band performed at 11:45 a.m. for an in-person and on-screen audience of millions. The parade preceded the Rose Bowl game between the Utah Utes and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The band spent a week in California performing in several venues including a field show in the Rose Bowl stadium and a parade through Disneyland.

Annias Haney graduated from McKenzie High School in 2016 and received his music education degree from UT Martin Cum Laude.
