Multiple Charges — A McKenzie man was arrested on multiple charges following a chase Tuesday night, January 18. Patrolman Dalton Raspberry observed a car failing to stop at a stop sign at Ruth Street and Georgia Avenue. The vehicle increased speed and ran two more stop signs traveling towards Bethel University’s campus before getting on University Drive towards Highway 22. The car was later found at a residence on Mitchell Road. The driver was found to be Ben Richard Goodwin, 34, who faces charges of Evading Arrest, Driving on Suspended/Revoked License-Second Offense, and Reckless Driving.
