Driving On Suspended License — On Thursday morning, October 21, Sgt. Kyle Beauchamp made a stop for speeding on a vehicle on Hwy 124. The driver, Grace McMackin, 20, of McKenzie, was found to be driving on a suspended license. McMackins was cited into Carroll County General Sessions Court for Driving On A Suspended License-First Offense and Speeding.
DUI — According to a report filed by officer Mark Boaz, McKenzie Police were dispatched to a local convenience store due to a possibly intoxicated male subject. Officer Andy Weaver found the vehicle and driver and began talking to him. The driver, Chaz Richmeier, 27, of McKenzie, had difficulty speaking and had slurred speech. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests and did poorly on them. A search of his SUV turned up a small empty flask of Jack Daniels Whiskey. Richmeier was arrested and charged with DUI-First Offense.
