DUI — Sarah G. Cole, 30, Reynoldsburg Road, Springville was charged with DUI and simple possession on Sunday, April 4.
Officer Stacey Bostwick made the arrest at a convenience store, where Cole was seated in her car attempting to drive away. A search of her wallet produced a paper bag with 5 blue pills and an orange pill. She was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Outstanding Warrant Service — Abriel Elizabeth Buie, 20, of Main Street, McKenzie was arrested on April 1 while she was on her front porch.
Officer Dalton Raspberry was patrolling and saw Buie and made the arrest and transferred to Henry County deputies on outstanding warrants for vandalism and failure to appear.
Aggravated Criminal Trespassing, Resisting Arrest — Melvin David Ricks, 39, Meadow Street, Thomasville, Georgia was arrested on the campus of Bethel University on March 30 at 8 p.m. after he was attempting to enter cars.
Officer Stacey Bostwick located Ricks in front of Campbell Hall and ordered him to stop. Ricks failed to halt and asked the officers to shoot him. Ricks said the devil “brought him here.” Officer Trey Boucher and Bostwick wrestled the subject to the ground and made the arrest. Bethel Security assisted in the arrest. He was charged with aggravated criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest and transported to Carroll County Jail.

Criminal Trespass — Clinton Hoard, 34, Randle Street, McKenzie was charged with criminal trespassing on April 4 after he was trespassing at Leah’s Diner in downtown and Pocket’s on Cedar Street. He was previously banned from Leah’s, got into an argument with a customer at Pocket’s, and was located at China Lantern. He was transported to Carroll County Jail by arresting officer Cody Coleman.
Shoplifting — Amanda Gale McKinney, 41, Old State Route 22, Gleason, was charged with shoplifting on April 3 after an incident at Merchants Outlet Mall.
Officer Cody Coleman cited McKinney into Carroll County General Sessions Court for taking items valued at $132.99.
Domestic Assault — Trevor M. Harding, 32, Forrest Circle, McKenzie was charged with domestic assault on April 1 after he shoved to the floor his live-in girlfriend as she was attempting to break up a verbal argument between Harding and the victim’s brother.
Officer Jeremiah Brooks responded to the mobile home. When he arrived, the two males ran in opposite directions in the mobile home. Sgt. Beauchamp assisted at the scene and found Harding hiding in a closet.
Harding was transported to Carroll County Jail.
