Sexual Battery — Michael Leon Fulcher, Forrest Circle, McKenzie, was charged with sexual battery after an incident on June 2.
Officer Dalton Raspberry responded to Forrest Circle where a female reported Fulcher had sexually assaulted her by reaching into her car and placing his hands on her private areas while she was seated in her automobile.
Fulcher was arrested after the victim and the manager of the trailer court identified him as the suspect. He was out of jail on bond awaiting court dates on two pending sexual battery cases.
Four-Wheeler Theft — Jason Chad Brown, of Winterberry Place, McKenzie, reported the theft of his four-wheeler on June 1. The ATV was stolen from an old horse barn behind his house. It was valued at $6,500 to $7,000.
DUI — Cornelia McClerkin Tuell, 59, Pate Alley, McKenzie, was charged with driving under the influence - second offense on June 2.
Officer Cody Coleman reported MPD received a call concerning a reckless driver on Magnolia Avenue. He observed the Ford Escape at the intersection of Elm and Magnolia and stopped the vehicle at Little General convenience store.
The driver, Tuell, did poorly on field sobriety tests. The vehicle was towed from the scene and Ms. Tuell was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Sale of a Controlled Substance — Julius Dean Owens, 22, McClure Street, McKenzie, was charged with sale/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on June 4.
Officer Kyle Beauchamp responded to a call of a man casting a fishing line into the street. While at that scene on Elm Street, he witnessed a car pass by and the driver, Julius Owens, was not wearing a seatbelt. Beauchamp initiated a stop and smelled marijuana as he approached the vehicle.
The report indicates the vehicle had 10.2 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, 21 Alprazolam pills, a separate bag of marijuana weighing 44.6 grams, $850 in cash, a glass jar with packages of dang gummies - cannabis infused with 50 mg. of THC, hard candies laced with THC. Owens was charged with possession of schedule IV with intent to sell or deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a seatbelt, and violation of financial responsibility.
Security Cameras Stolen — McKenzie Police Department responded to Hillview Apartments, where Ring security cameras were stolen.
Officer Misty Dennett filed the report indicating cameras from the laundry room, and two from nearby trees. The manager had footage of the suspects. The cameras went missing on May 29.
Public Intoxication — Carlos R. Wright, 44, Alabama Street, McKenzie, was arrested Sunday at 6 p.m. as he was walking along Highland Drive and holding a knife.
A report by Officer Jeremiah Brooks indicated Wright was acting abnormal. He was walking in the parking lot of Bank of Gleason when multiple officers arrested him.
The suspect indicated he had taken Suboxone and been drinking alcohol. Wright was transported to Carroll County Jail.
