McKENZIE — On July 10, 2022, the Weakley County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Bells Store Rd. and Patterson Road area just outside of McKenzie, Tenn. There had been a report of a person lying on the road. When they arrived, they found Terry Beard, 49, of Milan, Tenn., lying on the side of the road. He had suffered a gunshot wound and was deceased.

During the investigation, investigators with the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office were led to Tiffani Grogan, 28, of Dresden, Tenn., and once she was located, she was taken into custody and charged with First Degree Murder and Especially Aggravated Robbery.

A second suspect was arrested July 16. A joint operation between the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department, Special Agents of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Tennessee Highway Patrol Aviation Division led to the arrest of First Degree Murder suspect Julien De Mone Hardin, 36, of Daphne, Alabama. Hardin was arrested in a rural Weakley County area without incident.

The Weakley County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have information about the case to contact Investigator Neil Cantrell at the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office.
