McKENZIE — Funeral services for Minnie Pearl “Me Maw” Haynes are Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Interment is at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Ms. Haynes, 76, died Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was an employee of McKenzie Health Care and a member of Johnson Temple CME. She was born on September 12, 1945 in Henry, Tenn. to George Wesley and Lucille Berry Haynes.
She is survived by her daughter, Demeteria Strayhorn, son, Chuckie Haynes, two sisters, Ruby Owens and Florance Oglesby, and two grandchildren, Herevia Strayhorn, Wynter Strayhorn and two great-grandchildren, Myimi Love, and, Deneria J. Strayhorn.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers George Haynes and James Thomas Haynes.
