DOVER, Tenn. (October 8) — The National Park Service has awarded a $3.3 million contract for the extensive rehabilitation of the Visitor Center at the historic Fort Donelson National Battlefield in Dover. The rehabilitation includes an addition and upgrades to the almost 60-year-old facility to meet current accessibility standards and provide modern enhancements while still maintaining the historic character of the building’s original design.
