Mc Kenzie, TNHUNTINGDON (July 26) — After some animated discussion regarding Mayor Dale Kelley’s recommendation of Angela DeMaris to become executive director of the Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center, the council voted 4-3 to approve her for the position. DeMaris was serving as Director of Operations but had also been unofficially doing the theater director’s duties as well after Lori Nolen resigned. The position was not filled immediately due to the COVID pandemic.
