Mc Kenzie, TNMcKENZIE, Tenn. - Funeral services for Rebecca Louise Scates are Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Southwood in Memphis, Tenn.
Mrs. Scates, 100 years old, died October 25, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and served on several committees, and a member of McKenzie Red Hat Ladies.
She was an employee of McKenzie City Hall for 30 years, and later built and operated Country Classics Garden Center.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Dawn Whybrew, and Gina Davis and four great-grandchildren, Julianna Davis, Alexis Davis, Garrett Angelici and Savannah Angelici.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ira Scates, Jr, two daughters, Betty Rebecca Bratton and Barabara Louise Angelici, and one grandson Dominick Angelici.
