GLEASON (April 21) — Gleason High School hosted McKenzie on the diamond Monday, and the visiting Rebels scored early and often in a 14-0 win.

McKenzie scored four runs in the bottom of the first, six in the second and four in the third.

Rebel Craegen Travis was 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, two RBIs and three runs scored. Xander Johnsey went 2-for-2 with a walk, two RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base. Cooper Davidson batted 2-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Avery Brown was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Fletcher Holt went 1-for-2 with a walk, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base. Tate Surber was 1-for-3 with two RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base. Cole Brown went 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and two stolen bases. Maddox Shiell was 0-for-0 with two walks, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base.

Bulldog Aiden Legens was 1-for-2 with a double. Drake Lehmkuhl and Brody Sanders were each 1-for-2.

Cooper Davidson earned the complete-game shutout for McKenzie, allowing three hits while striking out two and walking one in three innings.

Ty Keeling got the start for Gleason, allowing six earned runs on five hits while walking two in an inning and a third. Drake Lehmkuhl pitched two-thirds of an inning of relief, allowing five earned runs on five hits while walking two. Kaleb Crocker threw a third of an inning, allowing three earned runs on one hit and three walks. Bryce Pettit took the final two-thirds of an inning, allowing no runs, hits or walks.
