Orange Oatmeal Cookies
1 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
2 cups all purpose flour
3 cups rolled oats
2 cups granulated sugar
2 tablespoons grated orange rind
4 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons orange juice
Cream the butter and sugar together until light. Beat in eggs and orange rind. Combine the flour, baking powder and rolled oats. Mix into the butter mixture with the orange juice.
Drop by tablespoons (level) onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Leave about 2 inches between each cookie. Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes until golden around the edges. Cool for a minute before removing to a rack to cool. Store in a tin. Yield: 5 dozen cookies

Doggie Biscuits for Humans, Not Dogs
1 lb butter
2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon vanilla
5 cup oats
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 block of Hershey’s chocolate grated
2 cup sugar
4 eggs
4 cup all purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon soda
2-3 cup pecans or walnuts
2-3 cup chocolate chips
Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, salt, baking powder and soda. Mix together creamed and dry mixtures. Add chocolate, nuts and chocolate chips. Roll into golf ball size pieces (do not flatten out). Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 6-10 minutes. Makes approximately 80-100 cookies, according to size ball.

Crab Supreme
8 slices of bread (trimmed)
Onion to taste
1 cup celery, chopped fine
4 eggs, well beaten
3 cup milk
1 cup cheddar cheese
2 cup crab meat
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped fine
1 cup mushrooms
Cook celery and pepper in butter. Soak bread in milk. After well soaked, mix well with fork. Add other ingredients. Mix well. Add eggs, then cover with grated cheese.
Cook at 350 degrees for at least one hour until set like a custard. Can be made the day before and refrigerated.

Root Beer Float
1/2 cup cool whip
12 ounces chilled carbonated root beer
Place cool whip in glass. Pour root beer over top. Serve immediately with straw. 1 serving
