Ruth Ettie Harris Bucy

McKENZIE, Tenn. - Services for Ruth Ettie Harris Bucy, 84, are Monday, November 22, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Chance Steen.  Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery near Buchanan, Tenn.

  The family will receive friends on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 12 noon until 1:00 pm. 

Mrs. Bucy, a retired sales clerk at Wrinkle Hardware in McKenzie, a former office associate of the PCA (Production Credit Association) in Huntingdon, and a former factory employee of the old Egg Plant (Domestic Egg in McKenzie), died Friday, November 19, 2021 at her residence. 

She was born on July 6, 1937 in McKenzie, Tenn. to Albert Lee and Odell Thomas Harris. She was a member of the McKenzie Church of Christ. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Ralph Bucy who died in 2018, her daughter Lori Lynn Sexton, her sisters Elizabeth Barlow and O’Nell Bannister, and her brother, James Harris. 

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa (Ken) McElroy of Puryear, two nieces, Robin (Jeff) Thompson of McKenzie and Kristy Barlow Oakley of Nashville, two grandsons, Jake (Katie) McElroy and Justin (Alyssa) McElroy of Paris, and one great-grandson, Landon McElroy.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
