Mc Kenzie, TNMcKENZIE, Tenn. - Funeral services for Ruth Marie Owen are Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Sunday 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment is at New Valley Cemetery, Gleason and Brother Dennis Trull is the officiant.
Mrs. Owen, 93, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her residence.
She was a member of New Valley United Methodist Church, the co-owner/ operator of The Polar Bar Drive-In, McKenzie and graduate of the 1946 Class of the Trezevant Blue Devils. She was born in the 19th District, in McKenzie, on March 12, 1928 to Jim and Bessie Scott.
She is survived by her children, David ( Sheridan) Owen of McKenzie, Brenda (Bill) Joins of Paris, Anita Montgomery of McKenzie, Lisa (Don) Page of McKenzie, three grandchildren, Crystal Hilliard, Heather (Carey) Newman and Brandon Flippin and six great grandchildren Zack Flippin, Chaz Flippin, Katelyn Lott, Jaylee Montgomery, Cam Hilliard, and Will Newman.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Junior Owen, son, Danny Wayne Owen, brother, Jerry Scott and her parents.
