Several Local Players Named TSWA All-State Team

Several local players were named to the Tennessee Sportswriters Association All-State Girls Team recently. State Champion McKenzie had one named to the TSWA team in Sophomore Savannah Davis, who was also named Miss Basketball in Class A. Nearby Gleason had two seniors named to the TSWA All-State Team with Alana Anderson and Carrington Lifsey. Anderson was a Class A Miss Basketball Finalist. Lucy Curry, a junior from Dresden was named to the TSWA team.

Other West Tennessee girls named to the team include Martin Westview’s Jada Harrison, Gibson County’s Madison Hart, Union City’s Amari Bonds, and Gibson County’s Micah Hart.

West Carroll senior Jalen Anglin was one of three West Tennessee boys selected to the TSWA All-State Boys Team. Anglin was joined by Trenton’s Demarkus Kee and Middleton’s Roderick Robinson.
