Posted

Mystery Man — Anthony Joseph Bencivgnotad of West Virginia was arrested on various charges on Nov. 14 in Bruceton.

According to the report by Deputy Christopher Adams, deputies responded to Cedar Street after receiving a call about a man dumping garbage at Bruceton City Park, standing on the front porch of a residence, looking through a window, and then throwing a large rock through a window of the residence. An officer found the man behind a building on Railroad Street and took him into custody. After being given false information and shown a false ID, investigating officers finally identified the man as Bencivgnotad and found that he has arrest warrants out of California, Ohio, and Georgia, though none of these states will extradite Bencivgnotad.

Theft — Deputies are investigating the recent theft of items from private property near Trezevant.

Sherrell Davidson told deputies on Nov. 1 that items had been stolen from his property on Clay Farm Road, though he wasn’t sure what all had been taken at that time. Davidson contacted deputies again on Nov. 11, saying that four compressors for central units valued together at $12,000, a mini-refrigerator valued at $30, a chest freezer valued at $75, and a 28-foot extension ladder valued at $100 had been stolen, and he said that more items might be missing.

Warrant, Drug Paraphernalia — Collin T. Vestal, 20, (address not provided) was arrested on an outstanding warrant and cited for drug paraphernalia on Nov. 15 in Huntingdon.

According to the report by Deputy Michael Sevarns, he responded to a residence on Ledsinger Lane after receiving a call about a strange man on the front porch asking for a ride home to Milan. Upon arrival, Sevarns found Vestal sitting on the front porch and determined that Vestal had outstanding warrants out of Gibson County. Two hypodermic needles, a spoon, straws, and two glass pipes were found in Vestal’s possession. Vestal told the deputy that he had used methamphetamine an hour earlier. Vestal was turned over to the custody of the Milan Police Department.

Court Order Violation — Christopher Allan Hinson, 45, of 207 Hurt Street, Trezevant, was recently charged with violation of a court order granting bail.

According to the report by Deputy Jason Walker, Hinson tried to call a female victim from jail on Nov. 20 in violation of a court order to have no contact with her and then used a fellow inmate to leave a message with her. Walker noted that this is the fifth time Hinson has violated the order since it took effect on May 4.
