Shooting Hunger Held At Shooting Park

Posted

If you were anywhere near Hwy 22 North of Huntingdon on Friday, June 24, you likely heard multiple shots ringing out from the Carroll County Shooting Park. They were hosting one of three Shooting Hunger Events that take place across Tennessee.

Shooting Hunger is a sporting clays event raising funds to decrease food insecurity across the state. Agriculture partners and industry leaders gathered for a good cause hosted by Tennessee Farm Bureau, Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st and Tennessee Farmer’s Cooperative.

West Tennessee Shooting Hunger includes shooters of all levels. The format is five-person teams shooting at multiple stations throughout the day with morning and afternoon flights of shooters. Prizes are awarded to the top three teams and top individual shooter in both flights, and a $500 scholarship is awarded to the top youth shooter in each flight courtesy of Tennessee Farmer’s Cooperative.
