Sunshine Week will take place March 16-22, 2025, to highlight the importance of open government and public access to information. Held annually in mid-March, it coincides with the birthday of James Madison, the chief architect of the Constitution and a driving force behind the Bill of Rights. Sunshine laws ensure government transparency by requiring public access to meetings and records. For more information, visit SunshineWeek.org.
