Sweet Jordan’s Visits McKenzie Rotary

Posted

The McKenzie Rotary Club hosted St. John siblings Jordan and Jessica of Sweet Jordan’s in Paris, Tennessee. Jordan better known as Sweet Jordan or Papa Jordan to company teammates, along with other family members will soon be opening their second location in McKenzie. Jessica informed club members that in an estimated five weeks they will be ready to open the McKenzie building located in the Highland Plaza.

Sweet Jordan’s began with a cookie recipe and a dream to help those with special needs. The Paris community and soon most of West Tennessee began rallying behind the St. John family as they opened their first store. Soon the group was able to employ 27 teammates all with special needs as the business grew from desserts to meals, to a coffee shop, then a laundry service and even a food truck.

An estimated 15 team members will be hired at the McKenzie location. Jessica added to the family story of how they focused on each individual’s ability instead of his or her disability.

The McKenzie Rotary Club meets each Tuesday at noon at McKenzie Station located downtown on Broadway Street.
