The Fellowship Hall Hosts Ribbon-Cutting

Posted

McKENZIE (January 29) — A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday afternoon at The Fellowship Hall ahead of its Saturday grand opening. Owner-operators Weltonette and Jermaine Taylor welcomed community and business leaders, including Mayor Jill Holland, into the venue at 150 Broadway for a sneak peak at the various services offered at the new business.
The Fellowship Hall comprises four businesses. The banquet hall is available for rental starting at $150 for four hours.
Pamela Hannah operates Pamela’s Place, a full-service salon specializing in natural hair braiding. Amber Johnson operates a boutique with stylish clothing and accessories.
Weltonette also utilizes part of the building for her services as a body sculpting professional. She offers deep tissue massages, facials, cool sculpting treatments and more.

The Taylors also offer a Friday Night Youth Ministry each week from 6-7 p.m. for ages six to 14 featuring teaching, snacks, games and fun.
Weltonette relocated from Memphis in 2018, followed soon by Jermaine. He works as a contractor, serving mainly in the Memphis area. The couple wished to remain near Memphis, but sought a small-town environment to start their new venture.
Weltonette told The Banner, “With The Fellowship Hall, we’re going to provide an elegant, safe, fun venue for the city of McKenzie. It has been our vision, my husband and I, to bring the community a place to plan any events, birthdays, baby showers, Christmas parties, etc. As you walk through, you’ll notice The Fellowship Hall has also provided a home for small businesses with women owners... In addition, my husband and I have a big passion for the youth in the community, so we will be providing the youth ministry every Friday.”
The Taylors reside in McKenzie with two daughters, six-year-old Alaya and two-month-old Jenesis.
