JACKSON — Two Bethel University students and their iris princesses are competing in a premier scholarship pageant next week in Jackson, Tennessee. Local contestants include Bethel’s Emma Martin and Jayne-Shaye Bailey in the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant, and McKenzie’s Bella Batton and Kinsley Wilson in the Little Miss Tennessee Volunteer and Pre-Teen Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageants. Emma and Jayne-Shaye competed in preliminary pageants and earned the privilege of competing with young ladies from across the state. They will also compete against McKenzie Bryant, a recent graduate of Bethel University. Bryant is a native of Houston County.
