War Eagles Best Indians, 8-4

ATWOOD (April 7) — The West Carroll War Eagles hosted Jackson North Side Wednesday for a non-district baseball contest and earned an 8-4 victory.
The visiting Indians struck first with a run in the top of the first frame, but West Carroll answered with five runs in the home half and plated another in the second. North Side pushed across a pair in the third, and the War Eagles responded in kind in the fourth. The Indians scored their final run in the sixth.
War Eagle Hunter Lindsey went 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and two runs scored. Jose Martinez was 0-for-2 with two walks and an RBI. Dallas Montgomery went 0-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Nolan Grant was 0-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored. Parker McAfee went 0-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base. Brock Polinski was 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.
Dylan Cox earned the win for West Carroll, allowing four runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out three and walking seven in six and a third innings. Cole McMinn threw the final two-thirds of an inning, allowing no runs or hits with one walk.
