Six West Carroll High School students recently represented their school at the 79th Annual FCCLA State Leadership Conference held in Chattanooga, marking the first time this chapter has competed at the state level.
The event brought together Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members from across Tennessee to compete in various career-focused challenges. Each West Carroll student earned recognition in their respective category.
Karma Wilkey received a Silver medal in Leadership Level 3. Moriah Lane received a Bronze medal in Food Innovations Level 2. Summer Spain and Jada Bradshaw earned Bronze in Focus on Children Level 2. Brilye Mueller and Linda Murphy placed Bronze in Focus on Children Level 3.
The students were accompanied by Kristin Lindsey, Career & Technical Education Director and Culinary Arts Instructor, who serves as the chapter advisor.
“I was extremely proud of our students and their performance,” said Lindsey. “They represented West Carroll well. I know this is the first of many accomplishments for our chapter.”
