West Carroll community stands with the 2025 valedictorian, Sawyer Sutton, as he begins a long recovery following an accident caused by a drunk driver.
Known for his kind, quiet demeanor, Sawyer Sutton is widely respected by teachers and peers alike for his exceptional musical and artistic talent, naturally gifted thinking, and willingness to help others. While he may not always seek the spotlight, his presence is felt through his talents and the kindness he extends to others.
As Sawyer and his family navigate the challenges ahead, several local fundraisers have been organized to support them. Here are upcoming opportunities to help:
June 12–14 – Benefit Bake Sale during the Hwy 70 Yard Sale. To donate baked goods, contact Lindsey Wilkes or Lindsey Pinson.
June 14 – WCHS student Jace Hammett will perform at the Hometown Hangout in McKenzie. All tips from the evening will go to Sawyer.
Ongoing – Donations are being accepted at all Carroll Bank & Trust locations under an account created for Sawyer Sutton.
Members of the community invite the Eagle community and neighbors to come together in support. Whether through donations, participation, or simply sharing this message—your involvement matters.
