Brenda McMullins born January 14th, 1941 died peacefully at home surrounded by family and was welcomed in the arms of Jesus on July 11th, 2023.

Brenda was the daughter of John Pope Churchwell and Mary Katherine Bell. She grew up in Trezevant Tennessee, was a star basketball player, and graduated high school with honors.


She moved to Illinois and continued on to have 3 children. Brenda enjoyed traveling and loved to water ski. She was a jack of all trades and worked all sorts of jobs including videography and photography.


She later married Ronald McMullins on February 14, 1991, while living in Crystal Lake, Illinois. She continued working photography and video along side her husband who was a DJ. They worked many weddings and events together. The love they had for each other made them an unstoppable team. 


Brenda was proceeded in death by her loving husband Ronald McMullins, her sister Glenda Anne Churchwell, brother-in-law Larry Rehberger, ex-husband Ralph Runions and both of her parents. Brenda is survived by sister and best friend Johnnie Rehberger, her sister Kathy Hernandez (Armando), her three children Randall Runions, Rhonda Runions Hermes, and Sean Runions. She is also survived by her grandchildren Megan Grassel (Aaron), Brian Emma, and Devin McAdams, her five great grandchildren Riannan, Addison, Ethan, Kaitlyn, and Tyler and her many nieces and nephews.
